Here at Aware Monitoring HQ we are very excited as our application moves off our development systems and onto the production environment. This means we are now able to scale and monitor more websites and web applications.

Not sure if we’ll scale as high as The Burj Dubai

This move will allow us to dramatically increase the number of beta testers on our app and prepares our service for more signups from our FOWA launch. It also enables us to turn on various fixes, enhancements and a couple of new features in our app.

Last day for our Interns

This is the last day for our two intern developers – Phil Howell and Dave King. Phil and Dave have been working with us over the summer and we’re sad to see them go. They’ve done an incredible job for us and have brought new fresh ideas to our project. Our beta feedback

We’ve now released the Aware Monitoring beta to a fifth of our testers. Feedback is starting to come in thick and fast. We’re amazed and in gratitude to the people who’ve put time and effort into giving us detailed responses. Now the question is: what do we do with all this feedback…

The feedback generally falls into three camps:

Things that are coming - The good news is that we’ve completed and not released a heap of minor and a couple of major functions/features that beta users have been repeatedly asking for.
Things that could work better -Various UI, functions and features improvements have been identified. Where we can we are trying to make some of these changes before we launch.
Things that we need to think about – Man you guys (& girls) have some great ideas. The challenge is which to do first after we’ve launched. The logical answer is the most frequently occurring requests. We still need more feedback to spot the patterns.

Please keep the feedback coming. For the 80% of people still waiting please be patient as we move our app to a more scalable production environment.

Aware Monitoring is now an official FOWA sponsor

In addition to launching our new website monitoring app at the Future of Web Apps, London 2009 conference we’re now an official FOWA sponsor. This will be the first time we’ve sponsored an event.

Our sponsorship gives us coverage in Carsonified’s pre-FOWA newsletters and a posting on their partner page. We hope this investment gives our new app more exposure before we launch on stage.

Our beta’s rolling, rolling, rolling…

The long awaited Aware Monitoring beta has started to roll! Our first few early beta users are now on the app and the initial feedback is excellent. We’re revealed and very pleased with the first reactions.

However we are still cautious and releasing the beta gradually to ensure we can cope with lots of real users. Our app is very intense on the back end. Once monitoring has started we are continually collecting, storing and managing large amounts of data on your websites.

Aware Monitoring hits the news with great promise

Our launch at Carsonified’s Future of Web Apps conference has been picked up by the Tech community blog TechCrunch. Milo Yiannopoulos of TechCrunch Europe said:

“Aware Monitoring promises to offer a new way to measure website and web application performance, with on-demand monitoring and SMS alerts for when something goes wrong. They’re promising an intuitive but powerful dashboard and an API…”

We’re very pleased to see TechCrunch view our new application with such promise. All we need to do now is deliver on the promise. As always “The proof of the pudding is in the eating. By a small sample we may judge of the whole piece.” We look forward to our application beta feedback and launch!

Aware Monitoring: Nick & Simon’s most excellent adventure!

It always feels a bit strange writing the first post for a new blog. Where do you start? In case you don’t know us I’m Nick Barker and my co-founder is Simon Oxley. Right now we’re busily finishing off the development of our new website/web app monitoring SaaS service. This is the blog for the service.

The start of a new day

We’ve made the bold move of committing ourselves to launch our app on stage at the Carsonified Future of Web App’s (FOWA) conference on the 2nd of October 2009. This is either a great decision or an ambitious one. Kevin Rose the Founder of Digg and many more Web stars are going to be at the event. No pressure then. It should be fun though!
